Describing red to a blind man is a somewhat difficult task considering we've grown up on graphic knowledge. We've seen and experienced the color red. To a certain extent we ARE the color red. I would explain red to the blind man in a series of ways. I would first tell him red is a type of double-edged sword. With one side you show love and mass expressions of emotion while with the other you create destruction. Love and destruction.. Two very opposite things but both capable of causing each other. I would tell this man to picture everything that flows inside him. I'd tell him to remember back to the last time he was cut. Remember the liquid that trickled from those veins. That liquid was a vivid color with the intensity of the sun. "Sir, red is life." I'd explain to him like I did previously, we are red. Without us there is no existence of red but without red there is also a piece of us gone. I would have him recall everything that he loves and everything that has made him hurt so bad and picture the intensity of the situations combined. "That my friend.. Is red."

If I could speak to one species of animal I'd choose to speak to cats. I would choose cats because the majority of my family owns cats including myself. I would love to be able to speak to my cat on a daily basis. He is a great companion and he deserves some good company. I want to hear from a cat what the life is like at home and outside. I'd find out what his favorite foods and activities are so I could begin to spoil him more. Once we become even closer than we already are I can use him as a spy to see what's going on at the house at all times. I would no longer have to worry about people sneaking into my room or talking bad about me while I'm gone. I could also surprise my family members by asking my cat what they've been worrying about. I could use my cat for the greater good of the family!

I believe school attendance should NOT be mandatory. If some one wants to get an education that should be up to them. Everyone knows that if you truly want to have a good life then you must be well educated. Without education we as people are nothing. If we followed these rules we would only have those who rightfully deserve the position for the job. I believe this would help boost our economic situation greatly.. Also this would make our country a force to be reckoned with in the business area and other various zones of work. Even though this gives the nation to become less educated I doubt the majority of people would quit school all together. If that were to happen however we'd be in serious trouble as a nation. If the masses were less educated we wouldn't have as much advancements in any areas which would put us at a severe disadvantage to rival countries. This is simply my view on this idea and I have no knowledge of what could actually happen.

If I could change two things about our campus I'd make it an indoor school and create a bigger gymnasium. I believe these changes would allow for an increased amount of commerce. With everything being close together people will have the opportunity to be more social and this increase in socialism will have positive effects on the students. Students will have the opportunity to make more friends and interact on a higher scales. Also if the school is strictly indoor this will eliminate the trash problem during lunch. Kids won't be able to just throw trash in the hall way or in the cafeteria. With no where for the trash to go but inside a garbage can we can be a small help with the global pollution problem. Next, I would like to create a larger gymnasium because the kids at our school truly enjoy their sports. With more space to play a wide array of sports the kids can only react positively. In addition, the children have tremendous school spirit. A great thing to have would be more space for the great assemblies thrown by the staff and ASB.

A large issue to me is the steady rise of drug use amongst teens. This topic seriously bothers me because I come from a large family and being one of the oldest children I am afraid for what my siblings will have to go through. The thought of any of them being involved with drugs sickens me to my very core.. It is very important to me that this problem is brought under control. It's because of this kind of dilemma that I promote a drug free lifestyle not only to my siblings but the world. I make sure to answer any questions my siblings ask about drugs to make sure they stay far away from it. In addition, I advertise this lifestyle through my band. Because we all agree on this topic everyone in the band also promotes this. If my siblings were to ever get involved with this I'd be sure to give them my own type of punishment. I'd feel severely disappointed. Eventually I would teach them how to get back on track and live without it.

Having a girlfriend has definitely been a significant experience, great achievement, large risk and an ethical dilemma all in one. This has made an impact on me in more ways than one. It has blessed me with the highest points of my life yet has cursed me as well with terrible moments of bitter agony. I can say I have never truly loved some one like the way I've loved this woman. The way this girl has made me feel has helped me through the most dismal points in my life. She has tought me the lesson that "You don't know what you have until it's gone." along with a few others. I have come to appreciate the little things in life no matter how insignificant the gesture. Every day is a blessing and I am blessed to be able to share my days with some one of such great importance. Even though there has been bad times between us those times have tought me a great lesson too. Never hold a grudge. Perhaps the greatest lesson I have ever learned. By letting everything,"slide right off your back" you open your world to a stress free life and true inner peace. I am more thankful for her than any personal possession in this world.

The most valuable contribution I could make to a college campus is probably my musical prowess. As I've said in my past blogs I love music and not only do I enjoy what I create but I believe I'm very good at it. I have a knack for adapting to musical styles and have a small taste for every type of music. If I could find any others who are interested in the same area of music as I am then we could make magic happen. Even if I have no one I would definitely start something on my own. Recruiting members and spreading the word about music would be a fairly easy task! Once I have something started with a small group I would commence my plan of trying to make the school more musically involved and help people with musical tolerance. I'd go on to create clubs and gatherings and even karaoke nights! It'd be a ton of work but lots of fun at the same time.
